TLDR & TLDL: Air NZ has signalled the potential reopening dates for Auckland with its announcement this morning its Auckland to Wellington flights will ramp up from one a day to 17 a day from Dec 5 and it will require either double vaccination or a negative Covid test from Dec 14.

Elsewhere in the news this morning, Auckland will get $282m of Govt infrastructure money to build 1,260 houses, four councils are preparing a campaign to overturn Three Waters, Christchurch City Council attacked the ‘Townhouse Nation’ plan, research showed nitrates kill 40 people per year and the PM fears 1,200 Police officers won’t be able to work if vaccination is mandated for Police.

Later today, I’ll be watching for card spending data for October expected to show a 10% increase in the month, and whether anti-mandate, anti-lockdown protestors carry through on their threats to break into Parliament and the Beehive at a protests due later today. Now there’s a contrast.
