TL;DR: An analysis of National’s tax cuts finds just 3,000 households will get the top tax cut of $252/fortnight, surprising those who believed National’s (usually) carefully worded promotional statements about ‘up to’ $250/fortnight of tax cuts.

Elsewhere in the news this morning:

  • A poll shows just 7% of people oppose co-governance;

  • Auckland is on track to totally destroy previous annual rainfall records; and,

  • There’s been a slump on an important global market that’s worth knowing about.
