This Government still keeps going off reservation and after some thought this income insurance is much the same. Ban WINZ and all and all human and privacy invasions with each NZer entitled to a Guaranteed Minimum Income equivalent and adjusted to the average wage via IRD, move ti tax bands to remove income tax except by filing yearly for those on over 80k pa each, Companies and wealth tax, minus one home entitlement per person, remove GST except on luxury imports and make Superannuation income and asset tested per individual with entitlement at retirement (for whatever reason at whatever age ie illness or injury) automatic. I’m sure it could all be more effective, simplified and more 21st century appropriate and redistributive than it is or by adding taxes on the poor and middle classes and continuing to over complicate things. Send PRA and child maintenance back into the courts (it doesn’t work now) with legal aid, education and a state funded mortgage scheme in place and remove many of the laws and regulations we don’t need but focus resources on enforcement. I would scrap the ETS in favour of enforcement of specific ecocide laws similarly to enacting and enforcing corporate manslaughter laws as well. I’m afraid Givernments focus on the easy soft targets being the public to mis use their powers against instead of taking on the powerful and wealthy doing the damage and hoarding and destroying resources in their path. We don’t have to look far to see these destructive toddler tyrants do we? Wrecking the joint for everyone else and leaving nothing for anyone else. It’s a dystopian world we live in and individuals have little chance of turning the ship around if our elected Governments won’t act decisively and on the evidence now.
