I missed hearing Finn because our power kept going on and off. but read the piece on Interest + comments following that. I'm trying to learn more about economics, but am stumped when I try to figure where the column on the spreadsheet is for the rate at which climate is/will continue to play havoc with the great collection of raw materials that made life on the planet possible. What data tells us we will be less miserable in 2 years? The planet will cheer up? Pluto will go into Aquarius?
Excuse my naivety, but I can't figure how we can have all those numbers, while what I see from my eyes doesn't seem to inhabit the same world. News is indeed glum. It makes people miserable. So.. um.?
