That MapKiwi image of the Pakistan floods is a terrifying eye-opener. Next year's weather broadly projected to mirror this year's. Climate change impacts getting a wee bit harder to ignore.

Thanks for this link and an introduction to a channel that looks at non-battlefield aspects of the Russian-Ukraine war. It is an approach that the historian James Holland employs when looking at world war 2.

Watch Sunday programme on Rotorua last night and see how women their conditions and the children of the future are being treated, neglected and brutalised. None of these women will have “KiwiSaver” just to put middle class concerns into perspective and give a clue about Aotearoa’s real problems. These people have legal and human rights, are very important for their work and responsibilities and how they are supported and treated to do it. They also should be able to rely on the institutions to fulfil their duties and have both family AND Iwi they should be able to count on. I counted 4 or 5 little girls and a Mother being terrorised, brutalised and neglected in one family. Utterly disgraceful and criminal. They are the future of this country and it does not bode well.
