Dave Galler; along with his brother, Les, a great contributor to intensive care. His book is well worth reading.

I always have trouble tuning into the weekly hoon. Why can’t they provide a link to tap like the inviting us to join. I am close to cancelling my subscription because I can’t get the link

In the email news letter, scroll down past the cute animal picture and see the words "Jump on this link on YouTube Livestream"

The word "link" is in a pink(ish) font. Click on that word & it'll take you to the youtube channel called "The Hoon". The stream does not start until 5pm on the dot. So if you're 20 seconds before 5 & wondering where it is, wait until a few seconds after 5 & refresh the page & the live stream will come up. click on it & enjoy.

It's also stays on youtube afterwards, so you can still watch it later, if you can't make it for the live stream.

Hope that helps

Excellent Hoon today, great to hear Dr Galler speaking the truth after the weasel words from Reti,Levy and co this his week, plus Robert’s “live” reporting from the front line in Dunedin.

Worth looking at the review that David Clarke initiate at looking at state of public hospitals and released June 2020

Note the consultants used in this review were professional engineers not ex cabinet

Post today's hoon - well done! Tantalisingly brief in parts, precluding much discussion on specifics understandably. Some good stuff about etiology of the National Party actions, eg on the economy or health, use of erroneous assumptions and beliefs rather than evidence-based material in some basic areas, and a lack of multifactorial approach, and how this can preclude good general outcomes. eg re health, how in fact well-delivered public health enhances productivity, and the relevance of poverty, while currently essential assets are stripped from the public health system partly going to private. Loved Dr Galler's comments and insight.
