Cathrine Dyer's weekly climate wrap to December 7, including a podcast discussion with Bernard Hickey about the news of the week from COP28; The Sultan vs a woman called Mary; Sunlight from satellites
Thank you Bernard and Catherine. I see also Brooke Van Velden is spouting direct misinformation if not porkies about climate. This government is trying to destroy the planet and my great grandchildren's future on the altar of growing the wrong sort of economy on a finite planet! Complete insanity. I suggest you all read the council of Rome 1973 and its 50 year on sequel. Fossil fuel capitalism has taken us beyond the brink. The whole financial and fiscal system is likely to implode as well in war and destruction which is happening now. Kenneth Boulding ,an economist , said in 1973 “anyone who believes that exponential growth can go on forever on a finite planet is either a madman or an economist”. At least we have come somewhere in gender equality as we now have a mad woman running our economy in true 20th century manner. When can we move into the 21st century ??
Thank you for these great weekly climate updates. In the midst of a lit of negative climate news, maybe every week you could have a paragraph/section dedicated to positive climate news?
