I support this article being opened up. It would be doing you a dis-favour in the kaupapa of what you cover so intrinsically. Outrageous is the first word that came to mind with the Stat NZ figures.
Someone should tell jacinda that "everything we continue to face as a nation" is being perpetuated by her government's policies. Apparently they "continue" because that's what her government wants, it's the only explanation.
No it's not the only explanation. Well it is to some extent but there could be a further agenda. But that's falling down a rabbit hole and I shouldnt go there. But their digging in when there is clear evidence to lead them to another path is concerning.

Dave the National Act response will be to double down on increasing inequality. They will say the government books are now so shabby we have to means test super, and create a whole lot more food bank clients
