A record-high average of 201 New Zealanders emigrated each day in the year to the end of July, with 58% going to Australia, fresh Stats NZ data out yesterday showed.
They were more than replaced by an average 384 mostly-young migrants and students with temporary work visas, largely from India, China, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Britain.
