TLDR: The Government has secured enough vaccines for all five million New Zealanders, but have yet to detail how the vaccines will be rolled out and when. The general picture is most of us in the second half of this year, but there’s no guarantees, especially as there are growing shortages of syringes and other ‘consumables’.
The key will be when we have enough herd immunity to justify opening the borders, to Australia and the Pacific at least. Within Government, they are hoping for herd immunity in the final quarter of the year. But there’s also the problem of convincing more than 70% to get vaccinated with around 25% don’t want it right now.

Have a great day.
PS: I’m putting these dawn choruses on hold for the forseeable future. I’m concerned some might see it as competing with a morning briefing I used to write for Newsroom Pro until September last year. I don’t see it as such, but some others might. I have a restraint of trade while I am a Newsroom shareholder and I don’t want that invoked.
Meanwhile, I will post articles on specific topics and invitations to webinars regularly, so The Kaka will still be squawking. :)
