TLDR: PM Jacinda Ardern announced this afternoon Cabinet decided not to lower the Covid ‘traffic light’ settings from red to orange either nationwide, or in Auckland. She said the hospital system in Auckland remained under pressure at a higher-than-expected plateau of hospitalisations, even though case numbers nationally were falling from the peak.
