Kāinga Ora offers sections with capacity for 17 homes near Ellerslie train station to land-bankers and luxury home builders; No Treaty principle in Bishop's new RMA bills; TradeMe may buy Stuff
In short in our political economy around housing, climate and poverty on March 26:
Three Kāinga Ora plots zoned for 17 homes and 900m from Ellerslie rail station are being offered to land-bankers and luxury home builders by agent Rawdon Christie.
Chris Bishop’s new RMA bills don’t include treaty principles, even though that was recommended by his expert panel.
Tama Potaka said he had no idea the principles weren’t in the new RMA bills. Bishop said cabinet made the decision and Potaka is in cabinet.
Winston Peters, turning 80 next month, says his longevity is due to his 1980 decision to shift to a high protein, low carb diet with ‘lots of greens and lots of fish.’
Winston also points out that his mates who retired are dead and it’s good to keep working.
Jim Grenon said he tried to buy Stuff in 2020 for more than the $1 paid by then-CEO Sinead Boucher, but Nine ignored him.
TradeMe may buy Stuff’s websites to try to catch up with NZME’s OneRoof, which now gets more traffic than TradeMe Property (says NZME).
